Jardin Etnobotanico is a large botanical garden in Oaxaca City. The focus here is on catcus and agave, of which hundreds of species are on display. Situated on the site of a former monastery, with a arrange of beautiful mountains in the background, the garden displays the uniqueness of Oaxaca's flora.
More than this, as an ethnography museum, the garden explores the cultural traditions of Oaxaca through the deep and essential connections its people have to the local plant life.
