Red Beach of Panjin Shi, China

On the coast of North-West China, Near Panjin Shi, is the Red Beach.

Actually a system of shallow seas and tidelands, this surreal environment is created by a rare breed of vermillion grass that can grow in the heavily alkaline soil of Panjin Shi.

The graceful red-headed cranes, who make their nests in the grass populate the area heavily and are considered symbols of good luck and longevity.
