The
Pompidou Centre is an incredible temple to the arts.
It features the largest modern art gallery in Europe, a centre for research into music and acoustics, and an expansive public library.
A
fascinating aspect of its design is that the buildings ‘internal organs’, its
plumbing, electric wiring and heating units are placed outside, for all to see,
rather than hidden inside the walls.
