The museum is home to an incredible collection of over 80 million items, from the gargantuan blue whale skeleton that hangs in the great hall to the displays of tine gem-like insect pinned in glass cabinets.  From the fossils and the animatronic models of the ancient dinosaurs to the Winchcombe meteorite, a visitor from outer space, the museum is a cathedral to the brilliance and diversity of our natural world.
