Not only does the archeological site of Tzipori National Park boast ruins from the Roman and Byzantine eras, such as an ancient synagogue, a Roman villa,k and a Crusader fortress, but it also holds some of the most stunningly preserved mosaics, earning it the nickname “Mosaic City.”
Among these mosaics is one that stands out: the Mona Lisa of Galilee. This beautiful work depicts a female figure adorned with earrings and a garland, and her subtle smile echoes that of Da Vinci’s famous painting.
