Molendriegang, Netherlands

Molendriegang is a set of three octagonal windmills built in 1672.  They remained in service for 279 years until they were replaced by electric pumps in 1951.

The State acquired the windmills a few years later and fully restored them.  Each mill is about 28m/92 ft tall, providing that picture perfect image of windmills in a Dutch landscape.
