Baron Empain Palace, Giza

 

Baron Empain Palace is a historic Hindu palace located in Heliopolis, north-east of Cairo.  It was built between 1907-1911 by French architect, Alexandre Marcel.

Its exterior decoration is inspired by the Hindu temples of South India.

Inside is an exhibition depicting urban life during this time period and the Palace’s architectural documentation and structural plans.
