Opened
in 1816, Sydney’s Royal Botanic Garden is Australia’s oldest scientific
institution.
It is dedicated to education, conservation and research and its 30 acres express the love of plants in all their beauty and diversity – from carefully tended formal gardens, to recreations of wild Australian woodland.
Visitors can wander through the gardens, admire the view of the nearby Sydney Opera House over the bay, and enjoy the calls of the over 100 species of birds which make the Garden their home.
